The stabilizing flame retardant additives in this film give it a translucent milky white color. These additives are designed specifically for low-density poly films. The antimony-trioxide-halogen bases system interferes with the combustion process and reduces the transfer of heat from the flame to the film. The result is a film that is much less flammable than those that are unstabilized.

This flame retardant film has been tested in accordance with Section 13121 of the Health and Safety Code, state of California. It was found to meet the requirements of the State Fire Marshal for interior flame retardant materials, and has been registered accordingly, #5-325. Those testes were conducted in accordings with ASTM D568-68.
